XM66 Type C

During the development of the M60A2, four different turret types were considered. The Type A turret would be constructed and then modified and produced as the Type B standard. The Type C turret was essentially a larger Sheridan-style turret. A mock-up of this turret would be built, but the design was never seriously considered.

The XM66 Type C is frankly kind of a bad tank. It's a fat Sheridan that isn't as fast, and while the hull armor is very much improved, it's not enough to make up for the lack in the mobility. I would personally like to see the turret armor be similar if not identical to the Sheridan's, just to give the tank some unique flavor. But it could see some improved gun handling and reload speed by comparison.
