MISSION STATEMENT

This website is to serve as a catalog of historical information for various tanks, across various stages of development, created for use by the United States from Pre-WWII through to the 1970s. However, the primary purpose for this website is to illustrate a proposal for what an "endgame" could look like for the US tech tree in the game, World Of Tanks, and to show that there's still plenty of life left to breathed into this game.

My aim is to see as many tanks in the game about tanks as possible, and I hope to show that in a way that respects both the historicity of the tanks shown and the balance of the game overall. As such, I will not be going into great detail on individual statistics. Rather, I will only be showing the possible modules for each tank, changes that could be made to make it more historically authentic, a historical overview, and how the tank's playstyle may be represented in-game. I will also attempt to future-proof this by including alternate hulls, half-tracks, and wheeled vehicles.

This is certainly not perfect and everything is subject to change. This is still a work in progress, and updates are frequent if not daily. This is a fan project and a labor of love. Do enjoy.

T26E4/T32

Constructed image of the T32 turret on the T26E4 hull.

Either during or shortly after WWII, Ordnance allegedly fitted the turret of the T32 to a T26E4 chassis. What became of this vehicle is unknown.

This combination isn't beyond the realm of possibility, as the T32 chassis itself is essentially just a lengthened T26E4 one. What kind of effects the much heavier turret would have on the weaker chassis is unknown.

In World Of Tanks, the T26E4/T32 is this project. Functionally, it should be a standard M26 Pershing with a bigger and better turret. However, the weight of that turret should give it reduced traverse and overall mobility compared to the M26. But it should still be just a bit more agile than the T32. This tank can be thought of as a simple in-between of the M26 Pershing and T32.

  1. last I remember, the T26E4 was a "Super Pershing" based on a T26E3 chassis instead of the original T26E1-1 Super Pershing's T26E1 chassis

    1. You should check out my article on the M26 Pershing (and the Super Pershing when I get around to it). The "T26E4" is a standard M26 Pershing with the 90 mm T15 gun. Only the T26E4-1 (the one and only actual Super Pershing) used the T15E1, while all other T26E4s used the T15E2.
