MISSION STATEMENT

This website is to serve as a catalog of historical information for various tanks, across various stages of development, created for use by the United States from Pre-WWII through to the 1970s. However, the primary purpose for this website is to illustrate a proposal for what an "endgame" could look like for the US tech tree in the game, World Of Tanks, and to show that there's still plenty of life left to breathed into this game.

My aim is to see as many tanks in the game about tanks as possible, and I hope to show that in a way that respects both the historicity of the tanks shown and the balance of the game overall. As such, I will not be going into great detail on individual statistics. Rather, I will only be showing the possible modules for each tank, changes that could be made to make it more historically authentic, a historical overview, and how the tank's playstyle may be represented in-game. I will also attempt to future-proof this by including alternate hulls, half-tracks, and wheeled vehicles.

This is certainly not perfect and everything is subject to change. This is still a work in progress, and updates are frequent if not daily. This is a fan project and a labor of love. Do enjoy.

T115

The T114 and T115 began as adapted carries for the battalion anti-tank (BAT) weapons system, which used the 106 mm M40A1 recoilless rifle. In June 1957, mock-ups of both vehicles were presented. However, they weren't favorable because the external mount for the recoilless rifle exposed the gunner during both loading and firing. While a closed turret would be developed, the T115 was dropped and focus turned to the T114, which resulted in the T114 BAT

The vehicle was intended for a crew of four, but I think we can drop it to three to be consistent with the rest of the branch. I've also gone ahead and given the armor values and engine of the T114 as well, as the two were essentially identical except for being tracked or wheeled. The real unknown is the vehicle's top speed. But given the trend of its predecessors, it should at least be 97 km/h.

I would imagine the T115 as a Tier X equivalent to the French AMX ELC bis. It has a punishing gun with limited traverse, and it's lightweight and stupidly mobile at just under 45 hp/ton. This tank would surely be able to get in and out of a fight with ease, slapping some poor tank with its HEAT/HEP/HE before running away.

Also, I can't confirm if an actual turret was under development for the T115, like with the T114, before the T115 was dropped. Whether or not Wargaming wants to give it one is up to them, I guess.
